Mohamed Salah is enjoying what many people refer to as an 'all-timer', with the Liverpool ace on course for the best individual season of his career.

The Egyptian's output has been consistently great ever since he made the move to Anfield in 2017, but at 32 he looks better than ever and his statistics back that up. After 37 appearances this season, he has 29 goals and will no doubt be targeting a higher tally than the 44 he registered in all competitions during his maiden campaign on Merseyside.

Salah has always scored for fun at Liverpool, only once failing to hit the 25-goal mark seven previous season, so his exploits in front of goal this term, while remarkable, should actually not come as too much of a surprise. Barring a campaign-ending injury, this will be the fifth time in eight seasons at Liverpool that Salah surpasses the 30-goal mark

The area of Salah's game that he has actually displayed the biggest improvement in is with his assist-making. The Egyptian registered his 20th assist of the campaign against Aston Villa, which is something he had not previously managed in his career.

Salah has never been shy to assist his teammates, racking up 108 during his 386 appearances for Liverpool, but to get 20 in 37 appearances this season represents a huge uptick. The No. 11 told club media in an interview published ahead of Sunday's clash with Manchester City just why his assist numbers have improved this season.

“I think I am trying to study more their game and not just my game," Salah said. "In the past I think I used to just know my game and they needed to adapt to me.

“Now, with time and if you want to improve yourself, you need to adapt to their games as well so I study their games. I watch the players most of the time when they train and when they play. I go home and watch as well sometimes… I need to adapt my game to their game so that is making me improve in that part.”

Salah's constant desire to improve and stay at the highest level is what makes him one of the very best players in the world, and Reds fans will be hoping there is plenty more to come in the years ahead.
